Hi, my name is Mike Lancop. I've been inspecting homes since 1994, 6 years in Ontario and the balance in Alberta. Over the past 29 years I have been involved with houses in many ways: designing, building, renovating, repairing and restoring. I love houses and I hate to see them abused, neglected or badly renovated.

I am a full member of the Canadian Association of Home & Property Inspectors – Alberta (Registered Home Inspector or RHI) and the American Society of Home Inspectors (Certified Inspector).

I've done inspections for engineers, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, lawyers, doctors, bus drivers, and secretaries. I can explain houses to anyone. Due to my experience, I am very knowledgeable about houses and am always trying to learn more through research and courses. I have written newspaper articles and been quoted in Reader's Digest (see Home Wreckers).
