Standard Home Inspection This inspection takes 3 to 4 hours and we encourage you to attend. It conforms to the Standards of Practice of the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors. The on site written report will allow you to understand the impact of major deficiencies in the house. It includes a copy of the Home Reference Book and may also include photos. This is a comparable inspection to that offered by other inspection firms except that we are completely independent of Realtors. (more information…)
New Home Inspection This is not a typical home inspection, but rather a service we have developed in response to a demand from home buyers in the Calgary area. These investigations involve in depth analyses of work performed by trades. Specific recommendations will include detailed photos, and may include analysis by experts in the field, and/or sample testing by a qualified testing service, as appropriate. The job of the general contractor is to hire trades people to do the work, schedule the work, and ensure that the work has been completed properly. The general contractor is responsible for any and all defects in the finished product. These investigations are generally conducted when home buyers and general contractors cannot agree on resolutions to problems. A third-party opinion from an independent Registered Home Inspector (RHI) can provide the unbiased information necessary to resolve the situation. These can be done at 11 months or immediately after possession. (more information…)
Specialty Inspections Comprehensive Home Inspection This is a unique service in Calgary. This inspection exceeds the Standards of Practice of the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors. I spend approximately 6 hours on site during which I record all the details I can find. Due to the length of this inspection, it is impractical for you to attend. The narrative report is written specifically for each house and includes photographs.
Troubleshooting Inspection This inspection usually deals with a single system which is perceived to have failed. You will receive a complete report of the failure's cause and the remedial work required to professionally repair the problem.
Authorization Form At the beginning of the inspection you will be asked to complete and sign a form requesting an inspection of the premises. (see Authorization form…)
How do I book an appointment? Figure out a couple of times that work for you and when you can get access to the house, then call us at (403) 601-3930. We can usually set up a convenient time within 48 hours of your call.
